Last week, ASID returned to Chicago for NeoCon 2013 where we offered numerous educational opportunities and networking events for members of the design community.
From the first day’s kick-off of the ASID Forum on Assessing and Predicting the Future of Interior Design, to the annual ASID Career Exchange and Portfolio Review for students, this year’s show offered something for everyone to get involved and get inspired!
We also hosted the increasingly popular ASID Emerging Professional Town Hall – a lively panel discussion with design thought leaders focused on professional advice for rising interior designers. And the ASID NeoCon roster wouldn’t be complete without an education excursion. This year we offered a guided trip to the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, named one of the top ten pediatric hospitals in the country by U.S. News and World Report. Lurie Children’s exemplifies the positive effect evidence-based design has on the human experience.
If you happened to be on the 7th floor of the Mart on the last day of the show you probably noticed the large gathering of bright-eyed students with portfolios in hand and ready to meet with representatives from the industry’s leading companies and schools at the annual ASID Career Exchange and Portfolio Review.
Thank you to everyone who visited our booth to participate in our Portrait Project. You can see the album here, along with photos from the show.
This week we’re off to Dwell on Design in Los Angeles, so please stop by and see us, or keep following us here on ICON Online, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for live coverage!
