Creativity, ingenuity, relevance. Three key factors each manufacturer is keenly aware of as they develop a new product. Here, we highlight a few new products making their way through the design world.
The Cliffy 6000 comes from Belgian-based SIXINCH, a company named after the belief that unlimited creativity lives in the space between our ears — a mere six inches. The company specializes in high-concept, foam-coated furniture and won a Best of NeoCon for their Cliffy 6000 collection, which is a nearly 20-foot long landscape lounge that adds a touch of rock and roll to lobbies, offices or outdoor spaces. A transplant from Germany to Argentina, plumbing manufacturer Franz Viegener provides a variety of styles and collections. Its team of more than 50 engineers can be thanked, since the company won the Dwell on Design Kitchen and Bath award for its series of innovative designs. Small space, small problem. Italian-based Clei won the Dwell on Design award in the Furniture category for their convertible living spaces. The wall fixture turned bed piqued the judges’ interest, particularly the company’s newest innovation of wall-fixture-turned-bed. For more information, visit www.clei.it.
